#tinybutmighty

Once upon a time, there were two little fraternal twin girls born 16 weeks too early. Olivia & Abigail were given a 5% chance of survival. Abigail didn't make it. Olivia spent the first 5 months of her life in the NICU at CHOC Childrens. It was because of that NICU, the doctors, nurses, staff, and all the medical research that my daughter is now a thriving toddler–who is defying odds that were medically placed against her.

1 in 9 babies are born premature every single day and is the #1 cause of death in newborns. Abigail became apart of that statistic. Thankfully, Olivia did not.

We built this brand in honor of Olivia & Abigail, and our vision is to not only give back, but to raise awareness while doing so. A percentage of proceeds from your order goes towards prematurity awareness and medical research for CHOC & MARCH OF DIMES.

Because of you, we are able to give back and support a charity that is very close to our heart, and give every baby a fighting chance!

Giving back is an important part of who we are, and why we do what we do. As the business continues to grow, the more we plan to give. Here's how we give back:

Your Orders:
2020 was an incredible year in so many ways for LMD. One of the greatest things was being able to give back more than we have ever done before. We were able to write a rather substantial check at the end of the year with a percentage of proceeds from all of our sales for 2020, which is a blessing in itself. Thank you! We truly couldn't have done it without you!

NICU Family Care Packages:
We started a new tradition which is our NICU Family Care Packages! I have been wanting to do this for quite some time and I am so excited that we were able to do it this year.
When I remember the moments in the NICU, 5 years ago to date, I remember not being able to see today. Even though my faith was unwavering, the tragedies of losing a daughter and the unknown of my other, kept me from thinking past each day. The NICU—our home away from home for 5 months, with Olivia’s very first Christmas celebrated there. Oh how I remember those hard, excruciating days. An experience I wish no one should have to endure, yet it blessed us in so many ways. These are the very moments that shaped our lives, and the testimony that continues to be told through their story each and every day—with every single order. I had no idea that 5 years later, this is where we’d be. Olivia, miraculously healed and thriving. The business growing and spreading prematurity awareness more than I could have ever imagined. Most importantly, being able to give back to those who are where I once was. These NICU care packages are made with so much love, faith, and prayers that it will brighten their day. Even if only for a moment.
If you heart is called to donate, we greatly appreciate your support! https://www.gofundme.com/manage/nicu-families-holiday-care-package/update/all

CHOCChildren's Toy Drive:
When you have a child that either becomes ill, has special needs, etc. the hospital becomes your home away from home. It wasn't until we had weekly appointments that I realized our new normal, which was spent at CHOC Children's more times than not. Something that brought great comfort to me was that although it was indeed a hospital that was always nerve wrecking to sit and wait for both Olivia and I, the kid friendly environment they created made it just a little bit more manageable. Especially when we would visit the oncologist monthly and my heart would absolutely break for all those babies & children. For the past two years we have been able to donate toys to those very kids who still need their childhood, even during the sick times.
