We are a small business--and by small, I mean my office is in a spare bedroom of my home. Up until a month ago, I was doing everything on my own. From production, to shipping, to customer service, to social media, and everything imaginable in between. All the while being a work at home single mother to two toddlers & two teens and trying to balance entrepreneurship simultaneously. Running off 2-3 hours of sleep a day, I realized quickly that It was time to hire our first employee! Exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time, I found Daisy. She is my right hand woman, and a divine blessing to our small but growing business!
When you shop small, you directly impact not only the business, but the lives behind the business. From the suppliers I buy my textiles and trims from. To the manufacture who pays their sewers to sew up our products. To the small printing companies who print out our packaging.
Ruby, our USPS mail carrier who has dropped off our mail & picks up our packages for as long as I can remember, thanked me a million times last week. Before we started shipping out so many packages, things were slow and she thought she was going to have to find a part-time job. Crazy right? Well since we are shipping out so many packages a day, that all get scanned, her volume for her route has increased and so her full-time job is secure! Isn't that amazing?! One purchase affects so many lives.
This business that I have grown from the ground up over the past 4 years is our livelihood, and I am so incredibly blessed to not only live out my dreams, but also support my family on my own, and it's all because of YOU!
